the-System * Interviews is a promotional online platform for creators and change agents working within the creative fields to articulate their vision and to engage them with our diverse readership through a web published art dialogue.

The creators & change agents are interviewed by a diverse collective of journalists to highlight their artistic career and introduce them to the Pan-African contemporary society.

ELIGIBILITY:

• All creatives and change agents are welcome to submit their works. All creative fields are welcome.

• Africans from anywhere in the world are welcome to submit.

• Creatives interviewed in the past can submit new works.

NOTES:

• FREE Submission for applicants. All can apply for FREE.

• A personal interview will be sent to you, including up to 10 questions.

• Selected artworks will be featured alongside the interview.

• Interviews will be published permanently on our platform >> the-System *

• The interviews are digital.

• It is important to read the application before applying. The applications that do not follow the guidelines will be rejected.

HOW TO APPLY:

• Artists can submit one or many works.

• Send us your information on our email here sbc.1corp@gmail.com or social media pages by a direct message with the Subject: “the-System * INTERVIEW SUBMISSION” at any time.

It’s a dialogue. You hear in the work of another artist something, and you give the answer by your own work. It can happen between you and a dead artist too. At other times I have been challenged to explore a particular theme as was the case for ‘touch’. And in the case of the solo exhibitions I’ve done, it has started with the artist and has developed through dialogue and exchange of ideas. At the moment, I’m very much interested in exploring connections between Africa, the Caribbean and other parts of the americas. I’m also trying to spend more time researching before putting something together and creating experiences that are multisensory and demonstrate the possibilities of cross cultural exchange."
